This artwork is part of a series, titled “Our Inner Alien” explores the conversation we have with ourselves about our perceived faults.
It can be used as a self-love reminder when we are experiencing negative self-talk or added to a parent toolkit for coming-of-age children feeling all the feels.
An ode to weirdness.
Weird is cool celebrates our uniqueness. Our likes, dislikes. Our values, desires and goals. It also celebrates our physical diversity. Whenever I am feeling ‘weird’ I look to nature - our earth is bountiful with wonderfully weird things, and I think they are pretty cool.
The little Nudibranchs of the sea, the unicorns of the sea (narwhals) and our inner alien popping in with a hello at the most inopportune times - alas! we love him still.
